It usually shows up around this time of year.

I wandered over to David Austin Roses in a fit of February blahs, and now I'm fighting off the need to buy English Roses. I caved last year and bought The Prince, which has much brighter blooms in my garden than it does in the pictures, but now I'm lusting after The Shepherdess and Pat Austin.

Spring, where are you?

Oooh, I've been wanting to buy The Prince for years now (hence the icon), but in my little container garden, I only have room for my Don Juans.

The blooms I get from the Prince in my garden are bright fuchsia, not at all like the pictures I've seen online. I'm hoping that a year of getting established will have an effect on the color...

*swoon* The only roses that really grow here (some people devotedly try though) are wild prairie roses. I just love rose gardens! You are fortunate, so I say it would be a shame for you not to have as many roses as you possibly can!

Alas, I don't have room to put all the roses I want - I'm limited to adding one bush a year (which is usually to replace whatever died last year!)
