My BJD arrived on Saturday - I haven't had time to do any photos of her yet. Here's the only picture I have of her so far:

Her face-up's a little too dark for my tastes - she looks a bit sleep-deprived in person. One of these days I'll have to send her out for a new, more natural/delicate face-up.

I am desperately trying to carve out some time to make something for her to wear, and I have some ideas for outfits, I just can't decide what to make first.

I wasn't intending to do it...but then opportunity came a knocking!

It started with a coupon from eBay. When did eBay start doing coupons? I thought to myself, "You should buy something good for your birthday! Just do a quick search and see if anyone's selling the bjd you want." I had made a rule for myself that I would hold out until I could find the right doll on the second hand market, and that she had to be a good price.

And there she was - with extras I hadn't even hoped for. For a fabulous price made even more fabulous with the extra 15% off and free shipping. So I gave in, and she's on her way here. Pictures are forthcoming.

I'm so excited.
