My Uncle told me once there were 3 rules for a great opera:

I have a bad habit of buying fabric that speaks to me, and then storing it indefinitely until I get around to using it. I'm pretty good at looking at a fabric and mentally designating it to a certain period/style. From that point on I have a very hard time looking at it with any other period in mind. Right now I'm looking at fabric I purchased with 18th century in mind and trying to decide if it can be re-designated.
